Azienda Gi Research is the Permanent Placement sector of Gi Group S.p.A. expert in high skills and technical recruitment. For our Customer, a company leader in services and solutions for financial sector, the ICT Division is currently looking for a Technical Project Manager

Attività prevalente: He/She will lead cross-functional, multi-cultural, and geographically-dispersed project teams to deliver assigned projects on time and on budget in accordance with the best practices of the company. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES - Organise and lead the development team including assignment of project tasks, conflict resolution, etc. - Creates and executes development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. - Request and mobilise project resources - Keeps Business Project Manager well informed of status of development effort and serves as liaison between development staff and Business Project Manager. - Owns the development lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout the project. - Manages technical resources within budget and project schedule. - Manage change requests, open issues, and project risks - Ensure effective communication between project teams (including partners and consultants) and the client. Documentation - Know at all times what product documentation is available and under what circumstances it may be distributed to clients - Revise and validate project deliverables and project plans - Regular project progress reporting to Project Manager, Project Office, Project Director, and Client. Administration - Manage time schedule - Submit holiday request to the Project Director with a minimum one-month notice - Ready to travel giving one-week notice (there might be occasional exceptions with shorter notice) - Enter personal time reports into scheduling system on a weekly basis - Ensure team members are filling time reports correctly - Ensure team members' accurate holiday and sick day reportingEnter expense reports into scheduling system on a bi-weekly or monthly basis - Setup project activity description for team members to allocate time against in the scheduling system.

Competenze tecniche: Knowledge, skills and abilities required - Hands-on knowledge of the software development lifecycle using structured approaches such as waterfall, RUP, Agile, etc. - Ability to lead software development activities and teams of 20+ developers - Knowledge of project management methodologies - Ability to analyse, plan, control, and deliver concurrent solutions to schedule and budget targets - Demonstrated ability to implement appropriate and consistent project control and reporting processes, mentor and coach project delivery teams - Strong ability to build cross-functional teams in a matrix-managed environment with demonstrated sensitivity to team dynamics and a proactive approach to conflict resolution. - Strong analytical skills, including the ability to express complex concepts in language accessible to non-specialist audiences - Strong communication, negotiation, facilitation, and presentation skills - Knowledge of the banking industry - Experience with UML, software modelling and/or J2EE and/or MDA preferred EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE - Strong technical background (technical architect or technical lead) - At least 3 years experience in project management preferably for J2EE component-based solutions - At least 1 years experience in financial services industry or IT consultancies - University degree (Master Degree in computer science is desirable) - PMI or similar project management certification is desirable but not required.
